I went to Cataract Gorge before sunrise. I was on a family visit rather than a photography trip, so I was kind of winging it. I walked around a corner and found this and it was a perfect moment for me. The sun was rising over the Gorge and the light was just incredible.

I love this shot. The sun is rising just behind the wall, the clouds were kind of half hazy, half stormy, half dreamt and the road in the background was perfectly framed in the window. I spent a lot of time at this wall, imagining what it would have been like before, when you could stand at your window and watch the sunrise over your land.

This shot is one of my favourites. It was taken at the same property as the light switch shots. There is so much scope on this property for a photographer. I was helped along by the light with this one. The property faces east, which means the light is great from the front for morning shots and from the rear for golden hour.
